Tasting notes
Medium red-ruby. Pungent red berries, cherry, licorice and toasty oak on the nose. Juicy and suave, with brisk acidity giving energy and definition to the dark berry, spice and dark chocolate flavors. Nicely concentrated blend with an attractive sweetness. Finishes with a firm tannic backbone that calls for two or three years of cellaring.

The 2008 Proprietary Red Wine reveals a similar black currant, cherry, spicy, subtlely oaked nose along with a deeper, richer mouthfeel, more nuances and complexity as well as moderate tannin. It requires 1-2 years of cellaring and should drink well for 10-15 years. This relatively new Rutherford winery continues to turn out impressive wines that merit attention from consumers. Tel.
