100% Tinto Fino. Around 12 smalls plots in Quintana del Pidio, Gumiel de Mercado and La Aguilera. An average elevation of 880 m above sea level and Sandy soils with some clay. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless-steel vats, then aged 17 months in new French oak barrels. 36,000 bottles. Tasted blind. A full pack of concentrated blueberry and plum jam. Dense and deep, well coated by well-blended oak that is creamy and rich with vanilla aromas. On the palate, solid and firm in tannins, with a spicy finish of liquorice and chocolate. One or two years of bottle ageing will do it the world of good. (FC)

The 2021 Torresilo is faithful to its profile of riper and darker fruit and a more generous oak treatment, coming through as aromatic, showy and extroverted. It's ripe at 14.5% alcohol with the 2021 freshness making it come through as balanced. It's full-bodied and has abundant tannins. It should age well and stand up to powerful food.
