Tasting notes
Aromas of ripe cherries and smoky blackberries introduce the 2016 Zinfandel Vineyard 101, a medium to full-bodied wine with a sunnier, warmer profile than the Zampatti bottling, despite the fact that the two share very similar chemistry. Despite its richer, sweeter core of fruit, the Vineyard 101 is bright and focused, and it will benefit from at least a couple years of bottle age.

The 2016 Zinfandel 101 Vineyard is ripe, silky and impeccably balanced. Lavender, plum, chocolate, mint and spice notes are all fused together in a mid-weight, super appealing Zinfandel that oozes character. Hints of rose petal and kirsch add a lovely element of brightness. In 2016, the 101 is especially refined, and one of the many standouts in this stellar range.
