The 2021 Pouilly-Fuissé comes from three village crus, those in Vergisson picked late in October, with around 20hL/ha yields. It was matured entirely in cask, which Frédéric Burrier mentioned was very unusual (the last vintage this happened was in 2003). It has a fragrant nose with pressed white flowers infusing the citrus fruit, open and ready for business. The palate is well balanced with a lightly-spiced entry. There's good concentration with a dab of marmalade and stem ginger towards an almost Chassagne-like finish. Fine.
