Score 96-98/100 · Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017
A barrel sample composed of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc and 9% Petit Verdot, the very deep inky black colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon St. Helena opens with classic cassis, plums and cedar notes with hints of damp soil, underbrush and tar. Medium to full-bodied, very firm and wonderfully ripe in terms of flavors and tannins, it has a beautifully approachable yet firm texture and very long, earth-laced finish. 300 cases are expected to be made.
