Score 91/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2014
Vivid red. Lively red berry and floral scents, with a note of blood orange emerging with aeration. On the palate, lively raspberry and bitter cherry flavors are complemented by a subtle smokiness, picking up a rose pastille quality on the back half. Closes with a strong echo of raspberry liqueur, bracing minerality and silky, slow-mounting tannins. This nicely delineated, precise pinot is drinking very nicely now.
