Tasting notes
While Turley Cellars produced an extraordinary line-up of Zinfandels in 1994, the 1994 Aida and 1994 Whitney are the least concentrated, but are full-bodied, robust, intense Zinfandels, with the Aida supporting 14.1% alcohol and the Whitney coming in at 15.9%. The soft, round 1994 Aida Zinfandel exhibits a peppery, robust personality with rustic acidity and a touch of tannin. It should be drunk during its first 5-6 years of life. Although very good, it is outclassed by the other wines. NOTE: All the wines in this article were tasted in May, 1996. Tel. (707) 963-8683
