Ruby-red. Pungent, slightly high-toned, resiny nose is at once liqueur-like and a bit weedy. Fat and sweet but a bit chunky and unrefined, with exotic chocolate tones and a strong eucalyptus element underscoring the overripe/underripe impression given by the nose. Finishes with rather medicinal tannins and a dry quality.

Dark ruby, porty over-ripe fruit with harsh acidity apparent on the nose. Sweet and sour. MOST uncomfortable! This is alcoholic soda pop rather than wine. Fast fade at the end. Blind guess: mountain. Revealed location: valley. (JR)
