Score 90+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Good medium ruby. Cherry, dark chocolate and smoky oak on the nose; also hints at a roasted, port-like quality. Plump and ripe but backward and dominated by its structure. Flavor of dark chocolate. The tannins seem a bit more harmonious than some recent years of this bottling, but will still require patience. Very persistent on the finish.
