Score 90/100 · Drink 1995, Robert Parker, Jun 1994
The 1992 Zinfandel Old Hill is rich, tannic, and alcoholic, with a spicy, overt, toasty, black-cherry nose, full-bodied, dense, concentrated flavors, and loads of spice, alcohol, and glycerin in the finish. It needs 2-3 years of cellaring to shed its considerable tannin. Tel. (707) 938-1960

Deep red-ruby color. Superripe aromas of black raspberry, tar and roasted coffee; at once riper and fresher than the '93. Very rich, fat and palate-caressing. The first wine of the tasting to approach maturity. The rich finishing fruit builds slowly, then expands to cover the slightly dry tannins.
