The 2007 Vat 1 Semillon is showing a little evolution with yeasty, nutty and toasty notes complimented by hints of baked apple. It has tons of flavor supported by a nice acid backbone and is ready to enjoy.

Pale yellow. Lemon pith, pear, jasmine and a faint quinine quality on the nose. Light-bodied but densely packed citrus fruit flavors are underscored by talc and a deeper note of melon. Clean, juicy and very persistent on the tightly focused finish, accented with bright mineral and floral notes. This wine should age effortlessly for at least the next decade.
