1991 A. Rafanelli Zinfandel Unfiltered

Not surprisingly, Rafanelli produces Zinfandel from old, low yielding vineyards and bottles it unfiltered so nothing is removed from what is in the barrel. The 1991 Zinfandel is also a blockbuster, but the acidity is slightly higher than in the 1990, and the wine is presently more reserved. Its deep opaque purple color and super-rich taste and chewy texture suggest it may become even better than my score suggests. Drink it between 1995-2005.
