Score 90/100 · Drink 2004-2016, Robert Parker, Jun 2002
This outstanding effort may be the finest Cabernet Sauvignon Snowden has yet produced. An opaque purple color is followed by sweet, chocolatey, blackberry, and cassis flavors, full body, plenty of depth, and a chewy, long finish revealing sweet tannin as well as spicy wood. It will be even better with 2-3 more years of cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2016. Tel. (707) 963-4292

Full medium ruby. Slightly porty, high-toned aromas of cassis and currant seed, plus a faint weedy nuance. Fairly concentrated flavors of cassis and menthol, but elevated acidity contributes to the impression of greenness. Somewhat pinched on the back half.
