Light cherry nose. Juicy, transparent, denser fruit on the palate than expected. Tight, floral finish. (RH)

Pronounced ‘Failer’. Named after Anne-Marie Failla, the wife of winemaker Ehren Jordan, who made this wine and was the old Turley winemaker. Gentle and lightly mushroomy on the nose with real delicacy. Good acidity. Proper sophisticated stuff that is no copy of burgundy but it very nicely balanced and relatively open. Very clean and fresh. (JR)

The 2013 Pinot Noir Occidental Ridge Vineyard is one of the more beautiful and expressive wines in the range. Gorgeous red-toned aromas flesh out in an ample, pliant Pinot with tons of intrigue. Cinnamon, orange peel, white pepper and cranberry add attractive aromatic overtones. The Occidental Ridge is gorgeous today and should drink well for the better part of a decade.
