The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Cor Leonis is dense and plush on the palate. Inky dark fruit, mocha, cedar, licorice and spice build as this potent, concentrated Cabernet saturates the palate. The 2018 offers terrific richness in an opulent style that can be enjoyed with minimal cellaring.
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Cor Leonis is a barrel sample of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from three of their best vineyards, aging in 75% new oak. Very deep purple-black colored, it builds slowly in aromatic intensity to give notions of forest floor, bay leaves, violets and cedar chest scents over a core of ripe plums, blackberries and black currant jelly plus nuances of pencil lead and iron ore. Full-bodied, rich and seductive, the frame is built like a brick house, with very firm, grainy tannins and bold freshness, finishing very long and very earthy.
