Tasting notes
Brilliant magenta color. Expansive red/blue fruit scents are complemented by suggestions of succulent flowers, cola and a hint of smoky minerals. Lively, appealingly sweet and pliant in the mouth, offering intense boysenberry, black raspberry, candied rose and vanilla flavors that are supported by a spine of juicy acidity. Picks up allspice and star anise nuances with air and finishes impressively long and supple, with well-integrated tannins and lingering florality. (30% new French oak)

The 2016 Reserve Pinot Noir is pale to medium ruby-purple in color with blackberry and bramble berry jam on the nose plus cinnamon stick, nutmeg, oolong tea and underbrush notes. Medium to full-bodied, it fills the mouth with ripe, dark fruits, with a great frame of grainy tannins and wonderful freshness, finishing long and spicy.
