Incredibly primary on the nose, the 2020 L'Orage, composed of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc, unfolds with cherry and black plum notes. With a waft of cinnamon and floral aromas, the nose is bright, expressive, juicy and fresh. Medium to full-bodied, the wine unpacks across the palate, featuring a kiss of volatility before a burst of bright, crunchy red fruit flavors wade across the mid-palate. Delightful oak essences sway over the long, lingering finish. It aged for 27 months, 50% in new French oak. Only 18,000 bottles were produced. Give it time; your patience will be rewarded.
