Score 90/100 · Drink 2016-2023, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2016
(14.2% alcohol): Bright medium ruby. Complex, varietally expressive aromas of blackberry liqueur, dark chocolate, cedar, cocoa powder, graphite, mint and herbs. Suave, seamless and sweet, with a modest pyrazine component nicely countered by a touch of chocolate. Offers a gentle mouthfeel with good lift and no shortage of energy. Finishes with broad, dusty tannins and very good length. Showing very well today.
