Score 84/100 · Drink 1981, Robert Parker, Jan 1998
The 1970 is the best Lagrange of the seventies, as nothing of this quality level was seen again until 1982 and 1983. Dark ruby, with chunky flavors, good, ripe, black currant fruit, a solid, moderately long finish, and potential for further evolution, this is a respectable effort from Lagrange. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 4/81.
