Bright, medium red-ruby. Currant, crushed blackberry, blueberry, tobacco and licorice on the nose; smells riper and sweeter than the Legacy blend. Plush, broad and ripe on entry, then lively in the middle palate, with harmonious acidity framing and energizing the flavors of plum, dark berries, mocha, tobacco leaf and spices. Lovely moderate sweetness and texture here. Finishes with broad, fine-grained, palate-dusting tannins and subtle rising length. An excellent showing today, but there's no rush to drink this now. From vines planted at 2,400 feet.

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Christopher's Vineyard is made of 100% Cabernet and was aged for 21 months in 69% new French oak. Deep garnet colored, it offers up maturing notes of crème de cassis, baked cherries, dried mulberries and sandalwood with touches of dried herbs and tilled soil. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm and chewy with bags of spicy black fruit and a long savory finish. 407 cases were made.
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Christopher's is packed with serious depth. A rich, opulent wine, the 2010 caresses the palate with inky dark fruit, cloves, mint, licorice and mocha. There is plenty of fatness and intensity in the glass, but not as much underlying structure as a wine like this need to age more than a decade or so.
