Tasting notes
Full ruby-red. Subdued but complex, musky scents of blackcurrant, plum, mocha, tobacco and mint, plus a whiff of chimney soot. Enters the mouth broad and suave, exuding lovely sweetness to its generous flavors of dark fruits, licorice, cedar and dark chocolate. A plush wave on the palate but not heavy. Finishes with substantial but harmonious tannins and slowly building persistence. The light element of herbaceousness just adds to the wine's complexity and appeal: there's something savory and old school about this wine in a positive way. Evolving slowly but has the balance--and sweetness--to give pleasure today.

A rich, dark wine, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Trailside Vineyard possesses superb depth and texture while maintaining a classic sense of structure. Sweet dark cherry, plum, cedar, tobacco, licorice and mint all take shape as this succulent, resonant wine shows off its expressive personality. Drink this deep, pliant Cabernet Sauvignon over the next two decades. The combination of ripeness from the late season hear and structure is hugely appealing.
