Round Pond's 2016 Proprietary Red is a Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot-based blend, plus the other varieties grown on the estate. Black cherry, plum, leather, mocha, spice, smoke and tobacco are amped up in a powerful, impeccably balanced wine. I would give the tannins a few years to soften.

Score 90/100 · Drink 2018-2030, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Dec 2018
A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Petit Verdot, 14% Malbec and 2% Petite Sirah, the 2016 Proprietary Red is deep garnet-purple in color with red and black currants, black plums, earth and Sichuan pepper with oolong tea hints. The palate is medium to full-bodied, soft and juicy with a savory finish.
