Score 91/100 · Drink 2018-2025, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jan 2018
The 2015 Proprietary Red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Sweet red cherry, plum, tobacco, orange zest, dried herbs and rose petal add an attractive aromatic upper register. Impeccable in its balance, the 2015 will drink well for another handful of years.

The 2015 Proprietary Red offers a compelling interplay of ripe, succulent fruit and bright acidity that gives the flavors lift. The 2015 is surprisingly open and delicious for such a young wine, even with all of the Petit Verdot that winemaker Griffin used. The 2015 finishes with a burst of aromatic intensity and rush of rose petal, lavender and mint overtones that add further freshness.
