Tasting notes
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford (which includes small amounts of Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot) sports a deep purple color to go with ripe, forward notes of crème de cassis, sweet plums, earth, bouquet garni, and hints of cedar pencil. It’s a sweetly fruited, beautifully balanced, layered, ripe Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that does everything right, all at a good price as well. Drink it over the coming 7-8 years.

A big and more typical Napa cabernet sauvignon with currant and dried fruit character. Some chocolate, too. Full body, juicy fruit and a flavorful finish. Drink now.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford has about 40% new oak and is composed of mainly Cabernet Sauvignon with splashes of Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple colored, the nose is open for business, with ripe blackberry and black currant aromas complemented by spice box and cedar chest notions plus a hint of bay leaf. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has open-knit, bright black fruits with earthy undertones and a chewy structure, finishing with savory nuances.
