The 2021 Rising Tides transports me to the Rhône, as fig paste and spice cake are complicated by earth tones, crushed rocks and garrigue. There's an abundance of energy within, as this shines brightly with crisp cherry-berry fruits and a cascade of sweet spices, all balanced by crunchy minerality. Hints of blood orange resonate along with edgy tannins, as zesty acidity maintains a juicy persona. The Rising Tides turns the pleasure dial to the max.

The 2021 Rising Tides is composed of 60% Grenache, 37% Syrah and 3% Mourvèdre. The glass is bursting with layers of baked raspberry, pomegranate, orange peel, Angostura bitters and earthy undertones. The medium-bodied palate is elegant with understated, super-spicy fruit. It has a frame of chalky tannins, vibrant acidity and a long finish with a flourish of spice.
The 2021 Rising Tides checks in as 60% Grenache, 37% Syrah, and a splash of Mourvèdre that was raised in just 20% new French oak. Its semi-opaque ruby/plum hue is followed by a thrillingly perfumed red loaded with notions of kirsch liqueur, peppery herbs, candied flowers, and wild strawberries. It's full-bodied, round, seamless, and incredibly polished on the palate, with gorgeous tannins. A stunning wine readers will love, it should evolve for a decade. Winemaker Matt Trevisan continues to be the master of the blend and produces exotic, singular, incredibly compelling wines based largely on Rhône varieties as well as ample Zinfandel-dominated wines.
