Tasting notes
The sweet 2016 Muscat Alexandria of Jackass Hill is laced with hints of apricot, ginger, dried flowers, spice and light honey. In this vintage, the Muscat is especially gracious and airy. It is also an incredibly distinctive dessert wine that can be enjoyed on its own or paired with fruit-based desserts and lighter cheeses.

Deep gold in color, the nose of the 2016 Muscat of Alexandria Jackass Hill explodes with lychee, rosewater, gardenia, candied peach, musk, passion fruit and pineapple aromas. Full-bodied and fully sweet, it has pretty musk-tinged tropical fruits in the mouth, with the unctuous sweetness well countered by juicy acidity, finishing long and flavorful. 99 cases were made.
About the producer

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
