The 2008 La Croix de Gay is a charmer, offering ample chocolaty fruits, earth, and some herbal notes in a balanced, rounded, thoroughly enjoyable package. Drink it over the coming 4-5 years.

Less propitious bits sold off to Ch L'Évangile. Blackish ruby. Sweet and juicy and quite floral. Quite light. Racy and even lacy. (JR)

Soft, fruity and seductive with a dark garnet color as well as evolved, slightly herbaceous, plum, black cherry, underbrush and loamy soil characteristics, this attractive, silky, round, plump 2008 can be drunk now and over the next decade.
