Tasting notes
Bright medium ruby. Classic Cabernet scents of cassis, black cherry, graphite, licorice, menthol and fresh herbs. At once suave and rich, offering lovely sweetness to its tactile dark berry and black cherry fruit flavors. Today the wine's fruit is to the fore, and it boasts lovely clarity and definition for the year. Not the last word in complexity but finishes with substantial tongue-dusting tannins and sneaky rising persistence. All about fruit from start to finish. Lovely wine. (14.8% alcohol)

Notes of dark berry fruit and creamy new oak precede the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Ethos Reserve, a medium to full-bodied and somewhat drying wine built around astringent tannins that clamp down on the tongue and gums. This cuvée can be solid, but it's rather charmless this year.
