A Cabernet Sauvignon dominated blend that included 25% Syrah, the 2014 Treana Red offers lots of vanilla spice, blackberry, currants and hints of leather. It's an enjoyable, one-dimensional effort that offers plenty of fruit.

Inky ruby. Expansive aromas of black currant, cherry compote, mocha and vanilla are joined by smoke and floral nuances that build in the glass. At once deeply concentrated and lively on the palate, showing very good clarity and spicy lift to the smoke-tinged black and blue fruit flavors. Finishes smooth, pliant and quite long, displaying a lingering hint of bitter chocolate and supple framing tannins.
