Tasting notes
Light, bright gold. Citrus pith and orchard fruits on the nose, with a hint of chamomile emerging with air. Juicy and precise in the mouth, offering dried pear and lemon flavors that flesh out on the back half. Finishes on a fresh orange note, with very good length and a lingering suggestion of honeysuckle.

Lacking some of the charm I found in the wine from barrel, the 2013 Roussanne spent 10 months mostly in foudre. It offers notes of lemon and melon to go with more honeycomb, lavender and soap to go with a medium-bodied, crisp, juicy feel on the palate. Drink it over the coming 3-4 years.
Honey, almonds, ripe pear and peach notes flow effortlessly from the 2013 Roussanne. Ample and broad throughout, the 2013 stands out for its varietal expression, depth and pure personality. Hints of spice add nuance on the resonant finish. There is a lot to like here. The 2013 was done in a combination of foudre and puncheons. The 2013 will be bottled either later in 2014 or early 2015.
