Tasting notes
The 2022 Chardonnay Russian River Valley has open-knit aromas of spiced apples, beeswax, toast and flint. The full-bodied palate is satiny and concentrated with spicy, mouth-coating flavors. Its generosity is balanced by mouthwatering acidity, and it has a long, bright finish.

Like the Sonoma Coast, the 2022 Chardonnay Russian River Valley is sourced from across the range of the Senses single vineyards and was raised in French oak barrels for 14 months. Picking up a hint more pf a golden tinge, it opens to aromas of salted pineapple, a touch of smoky flint, orange blossoms, and yellow flowers. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with a coating texture, notes of toasted almond throughout the midpalate, and a long finish, with delicate baking spices floating on the back palate. Fleshier than the Sonoma Coast and more approachable, it’s the most immediate of these wines from Senses and is ready to drink now or over the coming 7-8 years.
