Tasting notes
The 2018 Cambium has a deep garnet-purple color and notes of espresso, roasted nuts and sautéed herbs over a core of warm cassis, baked plums and Black Forest cake. The medium to full-bodied palate is packed with savory layers and earthy undertones, framed by approachable, grainy tannins and loads of freshness, finishing on a pepper and spices note.

The 2018 Red Blend Cambium needed plenty of air to show at its best, but this big, rich, powerhouse of a wine offers lots of blackcurrants, chocolate, vanilla bean, and spice-driven aromas and flavors. Showing more tobacco and classic Cabernet notes with time in the glass, this rich, full-bodied 2018 has a rounded, mouth-filling texture, sweet tannins, and a great finish. Give bottles an hour in a decanter if drinking any time soon, and it should evolve nicely for 10-15 years.
