The 2015 Zinfandel Old & Mature Vines Scherrer Vineyard is a wine of distinction and pedigree. Rich, deep and luscious, with tremendous character, the 2015 hits all the right notes. Most importantly, the Old & Mature Vines avoids some of the more rustic notes found in the other Zinfandels, while the expression of fruit is beautifully overt. This is very nicely done.

The 2015 Zinfandel Old & Mature Vines Scherrer Vineyard is pliant and supple, yet also understated and lacking the depth of the very best years. Perhaps the struggles of the growing season were simply too much to overcome.
