The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Elu checks in as 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc, and the final 1% Malbec. This fleshy, supple 2017 offers medium to full-bodied richness, just a hint of chewy tannins, and classic aromas of black cherry, currants, plums, incense, and chocolaty spice. It's nicely balanced, has plenty of fruit, and is going to keep for 10-15 years or more.

The 2017 Proprietary Red Elu has already been bottled with the fruit for this wine coming from Pope Valley. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it delivers an abundance of open-knit baked plums and warm blackberries scents with touches of dried herbs, tilled soil and tobacco plus a waft of Chinese five spice. The medium to full-bodied palate fills the mouth with black fruit preserves sparks plus plenty of spicy notions and supported with just enough freshness, finishing soft and simple.
