Tasting notes
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is still an infant, offering up a bouquet of crème de cassis, blackberries and flowers, framed by new oak, which could easily pass for a barrel sample. On the palate, it's full-bodied, generous and supple, with fine-grained structuring tannins and good mid-palate depth in a vintage that can sometimes be a bit open-knit and easygoing.

Glass-staining ruby. An expressive bouquet evokes ripe blackberry, cherry compote and licorice, along with a smoky topnote and a hint of floral oil. Sweet and broad in the mouth, offering intense dark fruit preserve flavors that stretch out slowly with aeration. Smooth, open-knit and concentrated, finishing with strong thrust and supple, slowly building tannins.
