Tasting notes
Designed as a barrel selection of the boldest of the wines from the vineyard, the 2022 Pinot Noir Shea Vineyard Homer doesn’t disappoint. A shade darker red, it offers ripe notes of cherry cordial, pine needles, mossy earth, and warming spices. Aged for 15 months in 50% new French oak barrels, it fills the palate with ripe tannins, snappy lift upfront, and a more savory and nutty character with hints of walnut on the finish. Drink 2025-2035.

The 2022 Pinot Noir Shea Vineyard Homer mixes licorice with cola and balsamic-infused black cherries. A silky wave of mineral-inflected red and blue fruits envelops the palate, guided by brisk acidity. It finishes with chewy persistence and length as a hint of tart blackberry mingles with edgy tannins and a tinge of sour citrus punctuates the experience. Time is on our side with the 2022.
