Lastly, the 2016 Pinot Noir Labyrinth comes from a vineyard in the Russian River Valley and is all Pommard clone. Aged 16 months in 60% new barrels, this medium to full-bodied effort has sensational depth of fruit and a layered, multi-dimensional texture to go with a beautiful perfume of ripe strawberries, black raspberries, ground pepper, forest floor, and exotic flowers. It’s leading with its fruit at present yet has tons going on and is complex, layered, and brilliantly put together. It’s going to benefit from another year or two in bottle and shine for a decade or more.

The 2016 Pinot Noir Labyrinth Vineyard (100% Pommard clone) was aged 16 months in 60% new French oak. Medium to deep ruby-purple colored, it's scented of baked cherries, dark chocolate, black cherries and blackberries with notes of sassafras, cinnamon stick and black pepper. The palate is medium to full-bodied with plush tannins and loads of red and black fruit layers, finishing long and peppery. 128 cases produced.
