Lastly, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Eternity is a step up and is all varietal that spent 22 months in 80% new French oak. This powerful, dense, concentrated effort needs bottle age but is an incredibly impressive 2017. Giving up lots of chocolaty dark fruits, violets, Asian spices, and loamy soils aromatics, it has a big, mouthfilling mid-palate, ripe tannins, and a great finish. I’d hide bottle for 4-5 years, but it should evolve for two decades. Unfortunately, there are a scant 95 cases produced.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Eternity reveals red and black plums, baked blackberries and crushed blackcurrants with hints of menthol, tilled soil and truffles plus a waft of tar. Full-bodied with firm, grainy tannins and a lively line of freshness, it has plenty of muscular black fruit and a long, earth-laced finish.
