The 2014 Chardonnay Pastorale Vineyard sees slightly more new oak (55%). This is a slightly richer but still elegant wine, with gravelly minerality, some honeysuckle, tangerine oil and citrus blossom. It is medium to full-bodied, fresh, lively and should drink well for 7-8 years.

Candied lemon, white flowers, spices, mint and white pepper are some of the notes that emerge from the 2014 Chardonnay Pastorale Vineyard. The brighter of the two Phelps Chardonnays, the Pastorale seems to gain energy as it sits in the glass.
