Tasting notes
The 2018 Angeli Syrah has a medium to deep ruby-purple color and open-knit aromas of violet, lilac, dried blueberries and tar. The palate is medium to full-bodied with concentrated, fresh, perfectly ripe fruits in a grainy frame, and it finishes very long and very perfumed. 480 cases produced.

The 2018 Syrah Angeli follows suit and is deep purple-hued, with slightly more backward, reserved notes of blueberries, blackberries, ground pepper, Asian spices, and leather. Rich and medium to full-bodied, with a stacked mid-palate, it's holding things relatively close to its vest at the moment, but it’s a beautiful wine. The cellar will be your friend. Give bottles 2-3 years and enjoy over the following decade.
The 2018 Syrah Angeli is creamy and voluptuous, not to mention incredibly inviting. The Angeli is always the most unctuous of the Stolpman Syrahs. That style works so well in softening some of the contours. Dark fruit, leather, licorice, gravel, spice and French oak wrap around this fleshy, succulent Syrah. The Angeli emerges from an own-rooted, high-density block on the property.
