Score 88/100 · Drink 2002-2012, Robert Parker, Jun 2002
The dark plum-colored 1997 Isosceles, an unfiltered blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, and 9% Cabernet Franc, exhibits a sweet nose of damp earth, blackberry and cherry fruit, and foresty scents. This full-bodied, nicely-textured, rich, and moderately tannic, excellent effort should drink well for 7-10 years. Tel. (805) 238-6932

Saturated ruby-red. Explosively ripe aromas of cassis essence, plum, licorice, and smoky, tarry oak. Lush, fat and stuffed with spicy cassis fruit, nicely framed by lively acids and sexy oak. This has a terrific core of fruit and impressive verve. Finishes firm, ripe and young.
