Tasting notes
A barrel selection of the top lots off the estate's 6.5-acre vineyard near the base of Spring Mountain, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve offers up notes of brown sugar, roasted meat, cassis, black cherries and vanilla. Full-bodied, rich, tannic and concentrated, it has plenty of life ahead of it. It's a big bruiser but one that should drink well for years to come, courtesy of owners Arvind and Beverly Sodhani, Piña Vineyard Management and Thomas Rivers Brown.

Slightly more expensive, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve offers a more backward, focused style that will benefit from bottle age. Blackcurrants, blueberries, scorched earth, cedar pencil, and spice notes all flow to a full-bodied wine with beautiful mid-palate depth, ripe yet present tannins, and outstanding length. Give bottles 3-5 years and enjoy over the following 10-15.
