Tasting notes
Composed of 100% Syrah made using 100% whole-cluster fermentation, the deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Syrah 100% Whole Cluster Las Madres Vineyard leaps from the glass with boisterous black cherries, warm black berries and red and black plums notes with hints of tar, chargrill, black pepper and bacon fat plus a beautiful waft of violets. Medium to full-bodied and jam-packed with black fruit and earthy layers, the pepper-laced flavors are well supported by rounded tannins and seamless freshness, finishing with a compelling herbal lift.

The 2016 Syrah Las Madres Vineyard 100% Whole Cluster is another winner from Myriad. Deep, pliant and beautifully expressive, the 2016 has much to offer. Sweet red cherry, pomegranate, mint, dried flowers and incense develop first, followed by hints of lavender, rose petal, mint and kirsch. What a pretty and expressive wine this is.
