Score 89/100 · Robert Parker, Dec 2008
The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is slightly more rustic, masculine, and backward with harder tannins, but none of the charm or velvety personality of the 2005. A new offering, Nomad, comes from the Beckstoffer George III Vineyard, which was originally planted in 1928 by Georges de Latour for Beaulieu’s Private Reserve program. This high-class operation boasts Paul Hobbs as its consulting winemaker. The Cabernet Sauvignon comes primarily from the Stagecoach Vineyard in the eastern hills of Oakville, just below the famed Pritchard Hill. Tel. (707) 963-9160; Fax (707) 963-9161
