Tasting notes
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Marston Vineyard is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet-purple colored, it offers up notes of crème de cassis, prunes, tilled earth and sautéed herbs with broody wafts of tar and new leather plus a hint of hoisin. Full-bodied, firm, chewy and rather rugged, the palate is coated with dried berry flavors, and it finishes a little rustic. 367 cases were made.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Marston is all Cabernet from a vineyard on Spring Mountain and was brought up in 100% new French oak. It has a bright, Bing cherry, cassis, sagebrush, and violet-driven bouquet as well as a rich, full-bodied style on the palate. It has plenty of tannins, a lifted, ripe, sexy profile, and a great finish. This is a singular Cabernet Sauvignon that will keep for 15 years or more.
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Marston Vineyard is rich and explosive, with tremendous aromatic lift and terrific palate presence. Rich, supple and vibrant with a real sense of immediacy, the 2017 is especially showy today. Silky tannins and pliant fruit add to the wine's racy personality.
