From a higher elevation site that’s just at the edge of the fog line on Spring Mountain, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Marston offers more forest floor, spring flowers, pine, and black and blue fruits to go with a dense, pure, structured vibe on the palate. It has power as well as freshness and needs 2-4 years of bottle age.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Marston Vineyard shows all the finesse that is such a signature of the best Spring Mountain wines. Silky, perfumed and wonderfully nuanced, the Marston has so much to offer. This is another of the more open-knit, accessible Cabernets in the Beringer collection. A rush of super-ripe dark cherry, plum, flowers and spice builds into the super expressive finish.
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Marston Vineyard is made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 21 months in 40% new French oak. It has a deep garnet-purple color and features wild blueberries, mulberries, warm plums and cassis with suggestions of forest floor and cigar boxes. Full-bodied and very structured in the mouth, it has a solid line of firm, grainy tannins and lively acidity lifting the intense, earthy flavors to a long finish. 506 cases produced.
