Tasting notes
The 2018 Red Blend Right Bank checks in as a blend of 56% Cabernet Franc and 44% Merlot. Revealing a ruby/plum, almost opaque hue as well as an herbal bouquet of red and black cherries, currants, forest floor, tobacco, and damp earth, it hits the palate with medium-bodied richness, a light, elegant texture, moderate tannin, and a clean, classy finish. Enjoy this elegant, nicely balanced blend over the coming 10-12 years.

The 2018 Right Bank is the estate's Cabernet Franc/Merlot blend. It offers good up front fruit and plenty of Cabernet Franc energy in its aromatic presence. The mid-palate and finish are pretty compact at this stage. It will be interesting to see if the 2018 gains body as it spends more time in bottle. Today, the Right Bank is not terribly expressive.
A blend of 56% Cabernet Franc and 44% Merlot, the deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Right Bank Red Blend rolls effortlessly out of the glass with notes of warm red currants, chocolate-covered cherries, mulberries and fresh blackberries plus suggestions of wild thyme, pencil shavings and stewed tea. The medium to full-bodied palate has a beautifully plush texture with lovely freshness lifting the red and black fruit flavors to a long, fragrant finish.
