Tasting notes
A perennial cornerstone of the Liquid Farm lineup that combines the most compelling barrels of the harvest, the 2022 Chardonnay Four spent 18 months in 20% new wood. Stylistically, it resembles a more refined and complex Golden Slope, offering exotic, nutty, rich aromas with delicate, focused linearity. The palate mirrors this balance with a weighty, stately texture, finishing on a beautifully three-dimensional note with pronounced salinity.

The 2022 Chardonnay Four sees the most new oak in the lineup yet is still brought up in just 20% new French oak. Ripe stone fruits, blanched almond, spice, and toasted bread notes all define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied, has a pure, layered mouthfeel, nicely integrated acidity, and a kiss of salinity on the finish. It's a richer styled wine from this team with tons to love.
The 2022 Chardonnay Four is a blend of equal parts Bentrock and Rita's Crown that saw 18 months in barrel, about 20% new. Readers should plan on giving this a bit of time in bottle, as I find the oak a bit strong at present. Even so, all the natural energy of this great site comes through loud and clear. Slate, crushed rocks, mint and a kiss of spice linger.
