Mid bright crimson. Light nose with the Syrah just discernible. Savoury, slightly drying finish. Polished tannins. Well made but I get the impression the fruit wasn’t absolutely thrilling. (JR)

From a vineyard planted with about 2% Viognier, the 2019 Syrah Peters Vineyard has a medium ruby-purple color and continually evolving aromas of Morello cherries, blueberries, dried herbs, lavender and bitter chocolate. The medium-bodied palate offers delicate, crunchy fruits with fine peppery accents, a pleasurable chewy texture and bursts of juicy acidity that drive the long, layered finish.
