White peach and iris on the nose anticipate the tangy, pit-tinged fruit and the musky inner-mouth floral perfume that characterize a silken, palpably dense, crushed-stone-suffused midpalate. This finishes with impressive persistence and a mouthwatering hint of salt, albeit – for now, anyway – not quite the multifaceted or intriguing length of the corresponding Blaufüsser Lay.

The enveloping nose of summer flowers draws you into this unbelievably ripe yet subtle wine, which glides over the palate into an incredibly complex finish that you could spend hours studying. From organically grown grapes. Fair\'n Green certified. This has decades of aging potential. Delicious now, or hold. Screw cap.
A delicate fragrance reveals first glimpses of yellow fruit and gooseberry, the work of ambient yeasts reflected by a mere hint of herbaceousness. On the palate this is probably the most complex Grosses Gewächs of the estate. Gentle notes of yellow fruit well balanced by a refreshing herbal component, but it's a cool mineral element which adds another dimension to the flavour. The influence of residual sugar is streamlined by an injection of lively acidity. (MS)
